Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr IT Governance Analyst to provide counsel on IT controls, risk management, and audits. Remote/Anywhere with a contract-to-hire arrangement, W2 benefits package, and opportunity to convert to FTE after the contract period.

The role partners with the AI Center of Excellence to align internal AI development with governance standards and supports process improvements across the SDLC. A strong background in IT governance, risk, and audits is required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of IT governance experience with risk and compliance.
• 1–2 years of AI governance exposure preferred.
• Hands-on with NIST and NAIC frameworks; able to navigate governance forums.
• Audit coordination with internal stakeholders and external firms.
• Knowledge of IBM watsonx and Microsoft Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject expert on IT governance, controls, and risk management for leaders and business areas.
• Drive improvements to the software development lifecycle, including documentation and control implementation.
• Oversee and coordinate IT audits with internal teams and external firms.
• Identify systemic IT control weaknesses and recommend remediation actions.
• Create and manage IT risk management processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Lead complex IT process change initiatives with cross-division impact.
• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of change initiatives and gather inputs for future efforts.
• Collaborate with the AI Center of Excellence to apply governance guidelines for traditional, generative, and agentic AI solutions.
