Job summary

The Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) in Madison, WI, seeks a Financial Specialist Senior to oversee complex financial management, auditing, and bookkeeping for multiple IT funding sources. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, requisitions, and vendor invoicing, coordinating with DET and DOA teams.

Responsibilities include enabling the IT Business Management tools, enhancing automation, and ensuring accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable.
• Experience or education in Bookkeeping, accounting, or GAAP processes.
• Experience with multiple funding sources and accounting codes.
• Experience using business software applications, databases, or spreadsheets for processing financial transactions (e.g., PeopleSoft, Quicken, Excel).
• Experience processing and tracking IT financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Audit and oversee accounts payable/receivable for multiple programs and funding sources.
• Create requisitions for IT product procurement; process invoices and payables.
• Collaborate with Finance and DOA to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain DET administrative standards and procedures (AP/AR, requisition entry).
• Provide technical/business consulting for DET Financial components in IT systems and automation.
