Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to drive infrastructure modernization, platform stability and automation across VMware, Windows, UCS, SCCM, and related technologies. The role collaborates with architects, operations and vendor partners to deliver enterprise-scale solutions in a highly matrixed health system environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, 8+ years in infrastructure, and familiarity with hybrid cloud, cloud governance, and ITIL processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
8 years of technical engineering experience in infrastructure.
Experience with VMware, Windows, UCS, SCCM and related tech.
Preferred: Azure cloud, hybrid cloud, cloud governance.

Responsibilities

40% - Operations: manage incident response, escalation, change and release processes per ITIL.
20% - Technology strategy: develop roadmaps and standards for infrastructure tech.
10% - Research: plan and justify initiatives including TCO and efficiency.
25% - Supplier management: coordinate with vendors and report on metrics.
5% - Financial: monitor budgets for assigned areas with safety/quality focus.
