Virta Health is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to support our distributed 1,000+ U.S. employees. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will spearhead our most technically complex projects, with a heavy emphasis on workflow automation and operational efficiency.

The role emphasizes Okta Workflows, automation, IAM, and scalable IT solutions in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with Denver and San Francisco hubs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated 3+ years experience in a Systems Administrator, IT Engineer, or senior escalation-level IT Support role in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of IT security fundamentals, including Zero Trust concepts.
• Experience with Okta SSO configuration, user lifecycle management, and Workflows for advanced automation.
• Enterprise Mac endpoint and macOS administration experience (Jamf strongly preferred).
• Proven design and implementation of repeatable AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Endpoint Management: Lead the Mac fleet, drive Zero-Touch provisioning, maintain hardware inventory, and enforce device trust with Jamf and Okta.
• Identity and Access Management: Administer SSO, implement PAM, and ensure device health.
• Scaling Operations & Automation: Architect IAM workflows, drive RPA initiatives, and optimize spend.
• Security & Compliance: Build Zero Trust, ensure SOC2/HIPAA/HITRUST compliance, manage API keys integrations, and monitor DLP.
• On-Call: Serve as Tier 2 escalation, participate in a 20% on-call rotation for urgent issues.
