Job summary

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Fort Meade seeks a senior IT supervisor in the Cyber Excepted Service to oversee installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of information systems, ensuring continuous availability for mission critical operations.

This GG-13 level position requires leadership of technical staff and experience implementing DoD INFOSEC policies and RMF standards. Telework is considered per mission needs; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate Education: degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree with 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields above.
• Attention to Detail - experience reviewing IT-related work to ensure accuracy, completeness and standards.
• Customer Service - develop and maintain relationships with customers and identify IT needs.
• Oral Communication - briefing senior management and IT staff on status and complex information.
• Problem Solving - identify alternatives for highly complex IT issues.
• Qualifying Experience - 1 year at GG-13 level for immediate success in the position.
• For This Position, Qualifying Experience Is Defined As - supervising or leading a technical team in admin and security of enterprise network devices with DoD INFOSEC policies and RMF.
• Education - no substitution for qualifying experience at GG-13; degree from accredited institutions only.
• Foreign Education - if used, must be evaluated by NAAC

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software to ensure availability of information systems.
• Direct accomplishment of highly critical mission functions of the organization supported.
• Stay current with state-of-the-art technology and engage with vendor personnel to maintain proficiency.
