Job summary

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Montgomery, AL, seeks a senior IT supervisor under the Cyber Excepted Service to lead staff and oversee the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of information systems critical to mission success.

Responsibilities include directing highly important operations, staying current with state-of-the-art technology, and ensuring compliance with DoD RMF policies while protecting enterprise networks. Veterans' preference may apply.

Qualifications

• To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
• Experience includes supervising or leading a technical team in the administration and security of enterprise network devices (e.g., switches, and firewalls) while overseeing the implementation of DoD INFOSEC policies and RMF standards.
• There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall management of functions and staff required to support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of information systems.
• Manages and directs accomplishment of highly critical mission and functions of the organization supported.
• Continually keeps abreast of state-of-the-art advanced technology. Studies appropriate journals, participates in computer users technical seminars, maintains contacts with vendor personnel, and takes other actions as appropriate to maintain.
