Job summary

BankUnited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Controls Testing Program in a 2LoD role. You will evaluate IT and Cybersecurity controls, communicate risk insights, and support remediation validation while coordinating with IT, Security, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of controls testing, IT audit, or related experience; a relevant bachelor's degree and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience performing control design assessments, control effectiveness evaluations, and remediation validation.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, maintains, and enhances the Controls Testing Program.
• Evaluates IT and Cybersecurity controls against policies and frameworks.
• Provides credible challenge and communicates findings to management.
