Job summary

BankUnited seeks a senior technology risk professional to provide independent second-line oversight of technology, cybersecurity, cloud, and third-party risks. You will serve as a trusted advisor, challenge function, and governance point for IT, security, procurement, and risk management teams.

The role leads third-party risk management, performs independent risk assessments, reviews architectures, and supports regulatory examinations and audits. Strong communication with executives is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer sciences.
• 8+ years of experience in technology risk, cybersecurity governance, or related fields.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and CC are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line oversight of technology risk, cybersecurity, and third-party risk across the organization.
• Lead cybersecurity due diligence reviews for third-party relationships and assess vendor security controls.
• Review contractual requirements related to information security, privacy, and compliance.
• Perform technology risk assessments and contribute to risk reporting and governance activities.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits and develop remediation plans.
