Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union seeks an IT Controls Specialist to assess control design and operating effectiveness within Enterprise Technology Service (ETS). You will conduct end-to-end IT control testing, walkthroughs with control owners, evidence evaluation, and documentation to support risk management and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on audit experience, strong attention to detail, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Hands-on experience performing IT control testing or audit activities.
• Experience testing control design and operating effectiveness, including evaluation of completeness and accuracy.
• Knowledge of IT regulatory guidelines and control frameworks relevant to financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end IT control testing, including walkthroughs and testing of design and operating effectiveness.
• Collaborate with control owners and stakeholders to understand objectives and risk coverage.
• Identify control populations, perform sample selection, and assess evidence for completeness and accuracy.
• Document testing procedures, results, and conclusions per audit methodologies.
• Monitor risk indicators and support control maturity and enhancements.
