Sotalent is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to enable digital transformation in life sciences and research IT environments. You will bridge business, science, and technology to define requirements and shape solutions for lab operations.

The role combines AI-enabled analysis, prototyping, and stakeholder collaboration to accelerate scientific workflows and improve research productivity. Strong communication and SQL/Python skills are required.

Qualifications

Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics) or Technical field (Computer Science, IT, or equivalent).
5+ years’ experience in IT/business analysis within pharma, biotech, or life sciences.
Experience with sample and/or reagent management systems or workflows.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
Strong communication and presentation skills.

Business Analysis & Solution Definition: elicit, document, and manage requirements; analyze workflows and define outcomes.
Delivery & Prototyping: build prototypes, support rapid PoC, collaborate with engineering, define acceptance criteria.
AI & Digital Enablement: apply GenAI tools to accelerate analysis and promote responsible AI practices.
