Job summary

The Governor’s Finance Office in Carson City, Nevada seeks a Project Analyst to support the Project Manager with day-to-day planning, execution, and control activities. Placement on the Human Resources Management Team or Finance Team depends on needs and the candidate's experience.

IT Business Analysts document, analyze, and recommend solutions, implementing changes to improve the operating environment. A minimum of three years' experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience applying data processing concepts to business plans and analyses.
• Ability to document business and functional requirements for projects.
• Experience supervising staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply data processing concepts to business process plans and analyses.
• Develop work and data flow diagrams illustrating functional processes.
• Document requirements for proposed systems and applications.
• Review test results and assess accuracy of application code.
• Monitor quality assurance and research hardware/software needs.
• Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
