Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr. IT Business Analyst to join our Specialty Lines team in a full-time exempt role with hybrid/flex options in Worcester, MA or Howell, MI.

A fully remote arrangement is also eligible, expanding collaboration across the enterprise. The role focuses on bridging business needs with IT capabilities, documenting requirements, and supporting QA and user acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong business acumen with insurance knowledge, especially Specialty Lines.
• Experience across agile, waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business & IT partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners, project team members, IT colleagues, and external vendors to clarify the business problem, outcome, and scope.
• Provide technical expertise across the Specialty Lines and Infrastructure units, linking business needs with data and technology.
• Research and apply innovative best practices; participate in CoE and PMO improvements.
• Lead or mentor team members; prepare to guide QA deliverables and user acceptance testing.
• May act as project lead on small to medium technology initiatives.
• Collect, analyze and document business/technical requirements; participate in planning sessions to improve processes and products.
