Job summary
University Libraries at the University of Pennsylvania seeks an Educational Technology Support Technician to deliver first-tier technical support across computing and AV systems in classrooms, labs, and event spaces. The role includes configuring hardware, troubleshooting devices, and assisting faculty, staff, and students with instructional technology needs.
Reporting to the IT Support Manager, you will travel between Penn Libraries facilities and may work evenings or weekends to support events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of tech support in computing environments.
- Experience with Windows and macOS support and networking.
- Proficiency with AV equipment including projectors, cameras and microphones.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and maintain computing devices and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Assist with AV devices for presentations and online meetings.
- Perform maintenance and quality checks on AV systems.
- Prepare documentation and instructional materials for staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
