Job summary

BigID is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to design and automate cross-tool workflows across AWS, GCP, Okta, and MCP ecosystems. You will own automation, IAM, and security posture while coordinating with Security, R&D, People, and GTM teams. The role blends DevOps with identity governance and AI tooling.

You will build scalable automation, lead projects from ideation to delivery, and support internal tools across the organization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT operations, DevOps, cloud engineering, or IAM engineering; 2+ years automating IT processes.
• Hands-on Okta administration, including Workflows; Auth0 Actions or rules.
• AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, IAM) and GCP (BigQuery, IAM).
• Experience with Workato or similar iPaaS tool.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Node.js; REST APIs and webhooks.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Pulumi; GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Claude or comparable LLM tools and MCP servers; security implications.
• Cloudflare (DNS, certificates, Workers) and Google Workspace administration.
• Strong understanding of SSO (SAML, OIDC), MFA, SCIM, RBAC, DNS, and email authentication.
• Familiarity with MDM (Iru Kandji or Intune) and Windows/macOS troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English; strong documentation habits.
• Discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Own automation in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway) and GCP; defined as code with Terraform; deployed via GitLab CI/CD.
• Own Okta Workflows, Workato, REST APIs, and webhooks; manage IAM and access governance.
• Write scripts in Python or Go; support Salesforce integrations (Auth0, Slack, Jira, data warehouse).
• Lead Claude rollout, connectors, MCP servers, and ensure security implications are addressed.
• Document runbooks and architecture notes; maintain inventory of hardware, software, and resources.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support; handle escalations; ensure incident response is documented.
