Job summary

Berkadia is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to lead Infrastructure and Application audits within the Audit team. You will partner with technology, finance, legal, and business leaders to assess risk, design testing programs, and report findings with remediation plans.

In this role you will manage end-to-end audits, support SOC engagements (SOC 1/2), and contribute to a strong control environment across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, accounting, finance, math.
• At least 2 years in IT or Operations internal auditing, risk management, IT compliance, IT project management, information security, software development, or technology.
• Strong communication and ability to translate technical risks for business leaders.
• Familiar with COSO, COBIT, ISO, and ITIL frameworks; knowledge of control design and enterprise frameworks.
• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA preferred; experience with a Big 4 firm advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in developing the annual IT audit plan and risk assessment.
• Develop IT audit programs and testing procedures aligned to risk objectives.
• Lead IT audit engagements from planning through reporting on schedule.
• Coordinate with technology teams, track milestones, monitor fieldwork progress, and propose improvements.
• Document audit findings, remediation plans, and work papers per standards.
• Obtain and review evidence to support audit conclusions and risk understanding.
• Identify issues and provide practical risk-based solutions to stakeholders.
• Support SOC audits (SOC 1 and SOC 2), evaluating control design and operating effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
