Job summary

Cook Systems in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior IT Auditor for a contract engagement. You will independently plan and execute risk-based IT audits, assess ITGCs, and collaborate with teams to deliver actionable observations.

The role requires strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills, with experience beyond SOX and the ability to adapt audit approaches across varied IT environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive, hands-on IT audit experience, including risk-based or operational IT auditing beyond routine SOX compliance testing.
• Strong knowledge of IT risks, controls, and audit methodologies, including ITGCs.
• Ability to assess unfamiliar systems and develop audit procedures.
• Experience developing risk/control matrices and audit programs.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute risk-based IT audit procedures, including walkthroughs and testing.
• Assess IT general controls (ITGCs), access management and change management.
• Evaluate processes/technologies lacking established audit programs.
• Develop and maintain risk/control matrices and audit documentation.
• Identify control deficiencies and provide practical recommendations.
• Utilize data analytics and relevant tools to support testing.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations clearly.
