Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking an IT Property Custodian to support asset management at Hanscom AFB. The role involves assisting with IT asset accountability, documentation, and lifecycle activities within government policy.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of IT property experience, Security+ certification, and the ability to operate government vehicles. US citizenship and a current Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in IT property accountability, asset management, logistics, and inventory management.
• HS diploma or GED. Security+ certification required.
• Experience with Windows Desktop OS and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with computer hardware and peripherals for asset tracking.
• Ability to obtain/maintain authorization to operate a government vehicle.
• Experience with government asset-management systems and SharePoint.
• Experience preparing DD Forms 1297 and 1348-1A is desired.
• Familiar with DLA turn-in processes and MICT requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• US citizen with current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Primary Property Custodian with IT asset-management and compliance.
• Serve as alternate Property Custodian and perform accountability actions.
• Ensure compliance with Air Force and local IT hardware policies.
• Prepare documentation for equipment issues, transfers, and returns.
• Process turn-in documentation via the DLA website.
• Manage IT hardware lifecycle per established guidance.
• Use tracking tools, databases, and SharePoint for property management.
• Provide guidance on asset-management procedures to customer staff.
• Prepare MICT communicators for government review and validation.
• Track and maintain accountability of computer hardware and peripherals.
• Support DEMIL and disposition of classified assets per NSA/local requirements.
