United Airlines seeks a Senior Manager – IT Application Development to lead the engineering organization for critical customer service platforms, including Navigator. You will shape the technology roadmap, drive modernization, and build high-performing teams across product, architecture, and cybersecurity to serve millions of customers.

This hybrid Chicago-based role requires 5+ years of technology leadership, strong cloud, containers, and DevSecOps experience, and excellent executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years of technology experience managing enterprise-scale applications.
• Master’s degree preferred and leadership experience helpful.
• Experience with modern web application architectures and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization responsible for critical customer service platforms, including Navigator.
• Own technology strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery for assigned platforms.
• Drive modernization, architecture decisions, and scalable solutions across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership across solution architecture, security, and production readiness.
• Partner with Product, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to align priorities with business goals.
