Job summary

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is seeking a Senior IT Applications Engineer to own the firm’s document management, case management, and business applications, providing end-user support and senior escalation.

This salary-exempt role offers a hybrid schedule (2 days per week) from multiple offices and opportunities to drive architecture, governance, security, and lifecycle standards across the technology stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years supporting enterprise business applications, 5+ years in legal tech in a law firm environment.
• Experience leading application implementations, upgrades, migrations, and vendor management.
• Strong design and support of enterprise integrations, APIs, web services, databases, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own and provide end-user support for document management, case management, legal workflow, and business applications.
• Develop roadmaps and establish architecture, governance, security, and lifecycle standards.
• Oversee configuration, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of firm applications.
• Design and maintain enterprise integrations, APIs, data services, and automation across DMS, accounting, CRM, and records systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and technology solutions.
• Lead implementations, upgrades, migrations, testing, deployment, and vendor coordination.
• Partner with attorneys and admin teams to translate needs into technical solutions and process improvements.
• Mentor Application Analysts and produce technical documentation.
