Job summary

Family Dollar in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Manager, IT Application Development to own the planning, delivery, and ongoing support of enterprise store technology solutions. You will lead internal staff and external partners to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective applications that support critical store operations.

You will manage demand, priorities, estimates, vendor performance, and execution, partnering with IT and third parties to ensure delivery and continuous improvement at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience with store systems critical to retail operations.
• Knowledge of web/mobile app development and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and SDLC best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own intake, prioritization, and delivery of application development initiatives from requirements through deployment.
• Lead and coordinate internal staff, consultants, systems integrators, and vendors.
• Provide oversight and technical direction for application development, integrations, and deployments.
• Curate scalable enterprise-level solutions that are reliable and future-proof.
• Manage multiple initiatives, identify risks, and plan mitigations.
• Oversee store technology deployments to minimize operational impact.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, and change orders.
• Hold vendors accountable to delivery commitments and SLAs.
• Drive process improvement, delivery quality, and operational stability.
• Develop team members through coaching and performance management.
