Strategic Staffing Solutions in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Senior IT Applications Analyst to support the DEF Delivery & Support program. This hybrid 12‑month contract role partners with the St.

Petersburg DCC to ensure grid SCADA/ADMS systems are reliable and available, balancing production support with delivery and modernization initiatives. You will coordinate with vendors, operators, and stakeholders, monitor health metrics, participate in incident management, and lead upgrades.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; additional related work experience accepted.
Experience with utility OT/IT systems and grid control environments preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and cross‑functional coordination experience.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight for 3rd party MSP delivering 24x7 production support for DEF jurisdiction.
Serve as IT liaison for the St. Petersburg DCC with operators, leadership, and vendors to ensure reliable SCADA/ADMS operations.
Monitor system health, performance, and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Lead complex production incident troubleshooting, coordinating across vendors, cybersecurity, and support teams.
Support on‑call rotations, emergency response, and major incident management processes.
Participate in planning, testing, validation, and deployment of SCADA and ADMS enhancements.
Drive continuous improvement in reliability, automation, monitoring, and platform modernization.
Assist storm readiness planning and extended support during severe weather events.
