Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an experienced IT Applications Analyst II to support DEF Delivery & Support in St. Petersburg, FL.

The role focuses on SCADA and ADMS operations, incident management, and ongoing modernization of grid technology with a capable team, including vendors and FTEs, providing 24x7 coverage. The ideal candidate balances production support with strategic delivery, works across technical and business stakeholders, and participates in storm readiness and major incident

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), MIS, or related discipline; four years minimum related work experience.
In lieu of Bachelor degree, Associates + six years related work experience; or High School/GED + eight years related work experience.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight for 3rd party MSP delivering 24x7 production support for DEF jurisdiction.
Serve as IT liaison for St. Petersburg DCC with operators, leadership, and stakeholders to ensure reliable SCADA/ADMS operations.
Monitor system health, performance, and dashboards; proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Lead technical troubleshooting for complex incidents; coordinate across vendors and teams to restore service.
Support operational readiness through on-call rotations, incident management, testing, and deployments.
Participate in planning, testing, validation, and deployment of SCADA/ADMS enhancements; ensure operational readiness.
