Andreessen Horowitz, a Silicon Valley venture firm, seeks a Senior IT & AI Platform Engineer to build, deploy, and operate enterprise systems, AI apps, and cloud infrastructure. You will lead complex deployments, manage privileged access, and enable self-service automations across the firm’s IT landscape.

The role is hands-on within the IT Systems team, collaborating with Cybersecurity, Engineering, Product, and Data to deliver secure, well-documented, production-ready solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in platform engineering, sysadmin, cloud infra, or IT engineering with production systems.
• Power user of advanced AI workflows beyond basic tools.
• Experience deploying AI apps with enterprise systems and data including SSO and provisioning.
• Shipping internal tools from prototype to production with authentication and API integrations.
• Hands-on AWS and GCP experience and IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi.
• Experience with Databricks workspaces, permissions, and monitoring.
• Familiar with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub and cloud-native environments.
• Develop maintainable automations and API integrations with version control and testing.
• Ability to diagnose complex enterprise system problems with security and cost considerations.
• Proactive communication and ability to handle production changes with testing and rollback plans.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of IT challenges around AI deployments and build lasting solutions.
• Co-own implementation of new enterprise systems and AI apps at scale.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual toil via automations across IT.
• Turn ideas into working applications from prototypes through to deployment and support.
• Build and operate AWS and GCP infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to protect data and manage privileged access.
• Support Databricks and cloud AI services including workspace config and access controls.
• Serve as escalation point for cybersecurity, eng, data, and other units.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis to restore services.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and share knowledge for IT efficiency.
