Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with an active TS/SCI clearance and full-scope polygraph for a major software development program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role spans policy implementation, risk management, and security operations across IT systems.

The candidate will lead security evaluations, develop security documentation, manage IAVA, and coordinate with the ISSM to maintain IA posture.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of ISSO experience, independently or on teams.
• Must have at least 5 years using tools to support IAVA management.
• Must have at least 5 years using tools to prepare and maintain SSPs and related docs.
• Experience with security tools, encryption techniques, and hardware/software security.
• Strong track record on security policy development and enforcement on large IT programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing multiple information types.
• Assist with Configuration Management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and implement best-practice incident detection and remediation.
• Maintain records for devices and systems including upgrades and configurations.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet information processing requirements.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining IA posture for system/program/enclave.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation.
• Develop system security plans and IA documentation updates.
• Support IAVA management and security scanning activities.
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system assets.
• Develop and ensure compliance with system security policy.
• Manage user authentication mechanisms for information systems.
