Job summary

CGS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in a hybrid role based in Miami, FL with remote options and occasional travel to Tampa, FL. The ISSO will lead RMF/ATO activities, author security documentation, and coordinate with DoC and DoD policies throughout A&A lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years IA/ISSO experience, eMASS proficiency, and relevant certifications (CISA, Security+ or higher).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years as IA Analyst/ISSE/ISSO in ATO package development.
• Experience with eMASS.
• Professional security certifications such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or higher.
• Strong desktop publishing skills (Word/Excel).
• Experience with industry writing styles (grammar, structure).
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Review systems to identify security weaknesses and recommend improvements, document upgrades.
• Maintain responsibility for managing cybersecurity risk.
• Identify risks, prioritize, and maintain a risk registry for leadership.
• Provide security guidance using NIST RMF, DoC policies.
• Provide CM recommendations and coordinate changes with ISSM, SCA, AO.
• Maintain vulnerability scanning tool compliance (HBSS/ACAS) and patch management (IAVM).
• Support security authorization activities, transitioning from DIACAP to DoC RMF.
• Provide SME for cyber security and trusted system technology.
• Develop solutions to complex problems with advanced technical analysis.
• Research, write, review, and finalize cyber security assessments and reports.
• Conduct risk assessment reporting and scoring.
