Job summary

Themis Insight invites a Sr. Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our Fort Meade area team. The role focuses on implementing and enforcing information security policies, preparing documentation, and supporting RMF certification activities.

Strong DoD RMF knowledge and IAM/IAT levels are required, with leadership support to senior ISSOs. We seek a candidate with 10+ years of ISSO experience, a Bachelor’s in CS or related field, and proficiency with security tools and ICAM, to

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Experience is to include at least two of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I, IAT Level II or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation.
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Assist with CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and other devices, including upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.
