Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Chantilly, VA to monitor and maintain system security on operational systems, review cybersecurity documentation, and advise stakeholders on policies and RMF workflows. The ideal candidate will mentor teammates and ensure robust security across all systems.

Required are TS/SCI with Polygraph, IAT-3 within 6 months, and a strong background in ICD 503, RMF, and IT security.

Qualifications

• Clearance required or ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT-3 certification within 6 months of start date.
• Education in computer engineering, information security, information management, or computer science.
• Experience in IT security, information systems security, and RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system security.
• Communicate effectively with security stakeholders.
• Create, revise, or review cybersecurity documentation.
• Proactively identify opportunities for increasing customer value.
• Advise on RMF workflows and security baselines.
• Review SIEM and RMF tools to advise on baselines and statuses.
• Report and document security incidents and responses.
