Zusammenfassung

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF lifecycle activities, including categorization, control selection, implementation, and continuous monitoring across multiple systems. The role emphasizes mentorship of junior ISSO staff and experience with NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 and emerging AI/ML platforms.

The position is based in Washington, DC, with eligibility for 100% remote work and a strong focus on compliance with FISMA, CNSSI 1253, and DoD IAM requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in information security with 12+ years in the field.
• 8–10+ years in ISSO or cybersecurity compliance roles with responsibility as ISSO of record.
• Experience conducting RMF assessments across multiple networks and environments.
• Experience managing concurrent A&A assessments and artifact packages (SSP, SAR, POA&M, BOE).
• Familiarity with microservices/distributed architectures and component-level security assessments.
• Proficiency with GRC platforms (JCAM/CSAM, Xacta) for A&A documentation and continuous monitoring.
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification; DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAM II/III (CISSP, CISM, CASP+).
• Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Aufgaben

• Lead and execute all RMF lifecycle phases across multiple systems and networks.
• Maintain RMF artifacts: SSPs, SARs, SAPs, POA&Ms, risk plans, and evidence packages.
• Conduct concurrent RMF assessments and manage traceability in JCAM or CSAM.
• Assess and authorize emerging tech systems, adapting baselines for novel architectures.
• Provide dashboards, security metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior ISSO staff and develop SOPs to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate security requirements.
