Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International, LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer II to maintain the appropriate security posture for an information system, collaborating with the ISSM and ISO. The role includes developing authorization documentation, monitoring SAP/SCI activities, and supporting DoD agencies.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in related roles, a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and meets DoD 8570.01-M requirements within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years related experience in ISSO or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and willingness to polygraph.
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements within 6 months of hire.
• Expert knowledge of DoD, National and applicable security policy, manuals and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with security authorization packages.
• Coordinate hardware/software/firmware changes with ISSM and AO/DAO.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
• Maintain current security documentation and audit records.
• Attend required security training related to duties.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspections and assessments.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare status reports on security safeguards for systems.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Conduct continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries.
