Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead security management and compliance for our classified and unclassified information systems. You will drive risk management, system security planning, and continuous monitoring to meet DoD and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years IT experience in classified environment or 3+ years as ISSM/ISSO in gov/industrial security or intelligence field.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, network security, logging/monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems, large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).

Responsibilities

• Lead security management and compliance for information systems.
• Manage risk assessment, BoE, SSPs, POA&Ms.
• Oversee continuous monitoring, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate with DoD/government authorities on security posture.
• Ensure proper access controls and security policy adherence.
• Coordinate with IS/IT teams for security operations and incident response.
• Lead security testing, audits, and remediation efforts.
• Supervise ISSOs and SysAdmins as needed.
