Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to manage day-to-day operations of classified IS security. You will report to the ISSM and support both classified and unclassified networks.

Requirements include 5+ years IT in classified environments, active TOP SECRET clearance, and DoD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months. Office-based role in Birmingham, AL with strong emphasis on RMF and BoE documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US DoD IS security policies.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and team collaboration.
• Time management and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• High attention to detail and rigorous approach to security.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with ability to access SCI/SAP.
• DoD 8140/8570 Technician Level 2-3 certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ISSO for Kratos KSRE Inc Birmingham.
• Implement RMF following DCSA/DAAG/JSIG processes and coordinate with authorities.
• Act as primary resource for classified systems.
• Produce and maintain BoE docs including risk assessments, SSPs, and POA&Ms.
• Maintain day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring incl patching.
• Be a member of the Change Control Board (CCB).
• Assist Security in unclassified operations, monitoring, incident response, vulnerabilities.
• Assist IT in unclassified services.
