Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to join a small security team providing IA Architecture Analysis and Security Engineering support for NC3, COG, and Senior Leader communications.

The role emphasizes threat-informed cybersecurity products, including risk assessments, architecture reviews, and engineering guidance. Active TS/SCI with polygraph and 14+ years of ISSE or systems engineering experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 14+ years of ISSE or systems engineering experience.
• CISSP or CASP certification required.
• Strong writing skills and DoD briefing experience.
• Expert RMF knowledge and cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-series, CNSSI 1253, and DoD 8500.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and provide prioritized mitigations.
• Design, implement, and operate real-time capabilities to detect threats and vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate candidate architectures against security requirements to identify gaps and mitigations.
• Research emerging technologies to determine cybersecurity effectiveness.
• Aid stakeholders in developing and deploying secure solutions and capabilities.
• Review C&A documentation for completeness and compliance.
