Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to join a compact team delivering IA architecture analysis and security engineering support for NC3, COG, and senior leader communications. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to our customer in a consultant-like role.

Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. A BS in CS/IA and CISSP/ISSEP certifications are preferred, with strong RMF experience and excellence in briefing senior DoD officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering or related field.
• CISSP and ISSEP certifications.
• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to brief senior DoD officials both in prepared briefings and ad hoc discussions.
• Experience with RMF and cybersecurity risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and provide prioritized risk mitigation recommendations.
• Support design, implementation, and operation of real-time capabilities to detect, analyze, and mitigate threats.
• Analyze candidate architectures against security requirements to identify gaps and mitigations.
• Research emerging technologies for cybersecurity effectiveness.
• Engage stakeholders to define security objectives and validation methods.
• Contribute to security planning, risk analysis and certification activities.
• Review C&A documentation for completeness and compliance.
