Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support NAS HPC security, develop SSPs, and ensure alignment with NASA/NIST/FISMA guidelines. The role covers secure configurations, data protection, and incident response for NAS systems and HPC clusters.

The ISSE will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to balance performance demands with robust security, delivering regular security telemetry and compliance findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs).
• Expert knowledge of HPC environments, MPI workloads, GPUs, InfiniBand fabrics, and parallel filesystems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSPs and artifacts comply with NASA and U.S. government requirements.
• Provide HPC security guidance to stakeholders on system hardening and performance impact.
• Balance high-performance computing usability with robust security in large-scale simulations.
• Provide HPC-specific data analytics and reporting on vulnerabilities, risk, and compliance.
• Support POA&M development, tracking, updating, and remediation for HPC systems.
• Coordinate POA&M activities across engineering, networking, storage, and operations teams.
• Conduct targeted compliance assessments for large-scale HPC environments.
