Job summary

Leidos seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support NASA NAS HPC security. The ISSE will help develop and maintain System Security Plans for NAS systems, clusters, interconnects, storage, and data resources, ensuring alignment with NPR 2810.1F, NIST 800-53/53B, and FISMA, while addressing HPC performance needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience managing project work.
• Possess in-depth technical knowledge of Cybersecurity principles.
• Ability to delegate and track multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to develop, motivate, and effectively manage the workforce.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSP and related artifacts comply with NASA and U.S. Government security requirements.
• Provide expert technical consultation for HPC security issues, including MPI workloads and GPU nodes.
• Identify solutions balancing usability with robust security for large-scale simulations.
• Provide HPC-specific data analytics and reporting to leadership.
• Support POA&M development, tracking, and remediation across HPC systems.
• Conduct targeted compliance assessments for large-scale HPC environments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to enforce government cybersecurity policies.
• Coordinate NASA A&A activities for large-scale HPC systems.
• Conduct credentialed vulnerability scans for HPC assets and report findings.
• Report security incidents and support investigations with NAS/NASA teams.
• Support RCA investigations and remediation for HPC security issues.
• Assist in policy development ensuring compliance across HPC systems.
• Maintain HPC security expertise by monitoring advisories and threats.
