Job summary

Leidos' AEGIS program seeks an experienced ISSE to safeguard NAS HPC environments. You will develop and maintain SSPs, ensure compliance with NPR 2810.1F, NIST SP 800-53, and FISMA, and advise on system hardening for MPI+GPU workloads.

You will coordinate security efforts across engineering, storage, and operations to balance performance with robust protection. Applicants should have a strong security background, ability to lead multiple projects, and excellent communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing project work across complex programs.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSPs and artifacts comply with NASA and government requirements.
• Provide expert security consultation on HPC security issues including MPI, GPU nodes, InfiniBand, and parallel filesystems.
• Balance security with usability to avoid hindering large-scale simulations.
• Deliver HPC-specific data analytics and reporting to leadership.
• Develop and track POA&Ms across HPC systems.
• Conduct compliance assessments for large HPC environments and report findings.
• Coordinate with teams to enforce cybersecurity policies across HPC IT.
• Participate in NASA A&A activities for large HPC systems.
• Perform credentialed vulnerability scans on HPC assets and report results to ISSOs.
• Report HPC security incidents and assist investigations with NASA SOC.
• Assist RCA investigations and remediation for HPC security issues.
• Develop policies and guidelines ensuring HPC systems comply with security requirements.
• Maintain HPC security expertise via agency advisories and threat intel.
• Coordinate cybersecurity reviews for HPC acquisitions including compute clusters and data storage.
• Support vulnerability assessment and design of intrusion detection tools for complex networks.
