Job summary

Evlos Technology LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to design, assess, and secure complex systems and networks across multiple enclaves. You will apply RMF processes, DISA STIGs/SRGs, NIST controls, and risk analysis to guide secure system design and accreditation for DoD missions.

This hybrid role requires strong collaboration, ownership, and the ability to work with government stakeholders, including occasional on-site work at Evlos

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience with DoD RMF, system authorization and accreditation processes.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, architectures and network topologies.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security, GSEC).
• Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs and vulnerability management tools.
• Hands-on RMF workflows in eMASS, Xacta or similar RMF system.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work 1-2 days per week in the Evlos San Antonio office.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and edit authorization and accreditation documentation.
• Understand and implement RMF system authorization processes.
• Assess risks from open-source, GOTS, and COTS components.
• Use vulnerability management systems and automated security tools.
• Apply DISA STIGs/SRGs and security guidelines.
• Provide security planning, risk analysis, and risk management support.
• Recommend system-level solutions to meet security requirements.
• Support government stakeholders in trusted external relationships.
• Design secure networking and enclave environments.
• Facilitate information exchanges with stakeholders.
• Follow or develop defensible security processes as needed.
• Work independently and as part of a technical team.
