Evlos Technology LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to design, assess, and secure complex systems and networks across multiple enclaves. Evlos is seeking an experiencedInformation Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team. In this role, you will help design, assess, and secure complex systems and networks spanning multiple enclaves with varying data protection and classification requirements.
The ideal Solver will have a strong understanding of distributed architectures, cloud-based systems, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and security engineering for Big Data environments. You'll work closely with technical teams and government stakeholders to evaluate risk, guide secure system design, and ensure systems meet required security and accreditation standards.

This position requires ahybrid work schedule in San Antonio, Texas, with flexibility to accommodate customer and mission needs.
Create, review, and edit authorization and accreditation documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal and DoD policies.
Understand and implementDoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) system authorization processes.
Assess operational and security risks associated with integrated open-source, GOTS, and COTS software components.
Utilize vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and system authorization/accreditation record systems.
Interpret and applyDefense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) andSecurity Requirements Guides (SRGs).
Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support.
Recommend system-level solutions to address security requirements and guide development teams in achieving required security posture.
Support government stakeholders in establishing and enforcing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
Apply knowledge of Information Assurance policies, procedures, and workforce requirements to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
Facilitate information exchanges and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather necessary security and authorization information.
Follow established security processes when applicable and develop and execute defensible processes when established guidance does not exist.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
U.S. citizenship is required.
9+ years of relevant ISSE experience supporting large, multi-tiered programs with aBachelor's degree in a related field; OR
7+ years of relevant experience with aMaster's degree in a related field; OR
High School Diploma or equivalent with13+ years of relevant experience.
Experience implementingDoD system authorization/accreditation processes, with RMF experience preferred.
Working knowledge of theTCP/IP suite of protocols and services, computer architectures, and network topologies.
Understanding of the underlying framework, control inheritance, and artifact generation associated withNIST SP 800-53.
DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification, such as Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security, GSEC, or other qualifying certification.
Experience withDISA STIGs and SRGs, vulnerability management systems, mitigation and compliance processes, and automated security scanning tools.
Hands-on experience navigating RMF workflows, uploading artifacts, and managingPlans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) in eMASS, Xacta, or an equivalent RMF system of record.
Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of1-2 days per week at the Evlos San Antonio, TX office. Flexibility is required to accommodate changes in customer or mission schedules as needed.
CISSP-ISSEP certification is highly desired.
