Job summary

City and County of San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing seeks a Senior IS Business Analyst to lead technical aspects of the ONE System integration. You will oversee API data flows from provider systems, produce technical docs, dashboards, and testing plans while bridging communication between internal teams, the technology vendor, and community providers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science, UX/UI design or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years in the information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management.
• One year of additional experience may substitute for the required degree or completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical documentation (e.g., data dictionaries and mapping templates) to support ingesting data from external systems into ONE via an API.
• Analyze ONE System API security permissions to determine required configuration for secure, connected API integration.
• Support stakeholder communication by developing slide decks and targeted messaging for information sessions; facilitate and/or present at meetings.
• Contribute to a Provider API Onboarding Toolkit to streamline provider onboarding.
• Provide data mapping guidance to providers for mapping source data to the required ONE ingestion format.
• Oversee testing to validate workflows and system stability for each provider during onboarding; support live-data pilot in a secure test environment.
• Define and document pre-submission data validation criteria to ensure data quality.
• Troubleshoot technical errors to diagnose and resolve data rejections and bottlenecks.
• Design and build dashboards to monitor data added via API and track volume/quality changes.
• Help design and analyze key operational metrics and provide recommendations for scaling middleware integration.
