Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Senior/SME Infra-red (IR) Systems Integration Engineer to advance an advanced EO/IR mission platform for national security applications.

This role emphasizes leadership in EO/IR sensor development, integration, and operations in contested environments. The candidate will provide systems engineering expertise across requirements, architecture, integration, and verification, with open architecture MBSE approaches and collaboration with government and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/Mechanical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience with EO/IR sensor systems, optics, hardware/software development.
• Familiarity with EO/IR integration, test and verification.
• Strong written and verbal communication, briefing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering leadership for EO/IR sensor development and integration.
• Oversee development, integration, and testing of EO/IR hardware and software.
• Develop and deliver technical briefings to senior technical and leadership audiences.
• Collaborate with U.S. Government and industry partners on joint mission capability development.
• Support MBSE approaches and model-based systems engineering activities.
• Coordinate requirements, architecture development, integration, and verification.
