Job summary

RTX, including Pratt & Whitney, seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead a large Integrated Product Team in Compression Systems Engineering. You will guide IPT tasks, manage technical requirements, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-schedule deliverables for both commercial and military engine programs.

You will drive problem solving, budget stewardship, and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers and presenting program status to customers and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Own IPT execution across task and technical requirements
• Identify and address project problems, analyze data, and propose solutions to meet deadlines and optimize costs
• Collaborate with IPT members across disciplines to address field, safety and production issues and implement changes
• Lead IPT and technical program reviews; represent IPT in customer and senior management interactions
• Perform budget ownership duties: track progress and manage risks to protect schedule and budget
• Mentor other Project Engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
