Job summary

Capella, an IonQ company, seeks an experienced inspector for aerospace-quality PCBA inspections in our Louisville, CO facility. You will perform detailed IPC-based inspections, verify supplier data, and document non-conformances to support audits and qualification processes.

Applicants must have 6+ years in a regulated industry and IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 certifications, with ITAR/export controls compliance. Capella values precision, collaboration with Engineering, and strict traceability.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of experience in a regulated industry (aerospace, robotics, medical device, automotive, or equivalent).
• IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 board inspection certification required; IPC-A-600 preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items over 40 lbs.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR/export controls per U.S. government requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed receiving, in-process, and final inspections on PCBA, harnessing, and assemblies to IPC Class 3.
• Review and verify supplier end item data packages including CoCs, as built BOMs, electrical test reports, and X-rays.
• Identify and document non-conformances, segregate suspect material, and initiate SCARs.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of materials per AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve discrepancies prior to qualification and customer submission.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Record inspections in MES and move parts through inspection queues.
• Implement and maintain a calibrated tool system and process.
