Equiliem is seeking an Electronics Quality Inspector for aerospace PCB assemblies in the Los Angeles area. The role ensures in-process and final inspections meet IPC standards, documents results, and supports corrective actions.

Applicants should have 3+ years in electronics inspection, IPC-A-610 knowledge, and ability to read drawings in English. ITAR eligible and within 50 miles of LA site are required.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years experience inspecting electronic assemblies or aerospace electronic products.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 inspection criteria and workmanship standards.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs and technical docs in English.
• Experience using inspection and measurement equipment.
• Identify soldering defects and workmanship issues.
• Understand PCB assembly processes and equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and quality documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• ITAR eligibility and travel within 50 miles of LA site.

Aufgaben

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of aerospace electronic components, PCBs, subassemblies, and completed assemblies.
• Inspect to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 requirements.
• Inspect through-hole and SMT assemblies across inspection stages.
• Use microscopes, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and other equipment to verify workmanship.
• Examine placement, solder joints, polarity, labeling, and workmanship for defects.
• Review travelers, BOMs, drawings, and work instructions for compliance.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports indicating acceptance or rejection.
• Record results in quality systems and complete data transactions.
• Identify nonconforming materials and communicate issues to teams.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Follow ESD and safety procedures; perform cross-training as needed.
