Job summary

OSI Electronics seeks an In-Process Inspector to join the team. You will inspect PCBAs, subassemblies, and finished products, verifying assemblies after soldering, conformal coating, wire bonding and testing to ensure quality and compliance with customer requirements.

You will review automated inspection results, confirm defects, identify false calls, and document findings while supporting traceability and process compliance through the manufacturing flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in PCBA production.
• Soldering workmanship inspection experience.
• IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification or training.
• Prior PCBA assembly or soldering operator experience desired.
• Experience operating AOI and X-RAY inspection equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret production travelers, routers, BOMs, drawings, specs.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspection and final inspections for PCBAs after key operations.
• Evaluate soldering workmanship against IPC/J-STD criteria and inspect joints and components.
• Review AOI/X-ray results, document findings, and verify hidden joints.
• Conduct First Article/First Piece Inspections before production approval.
• Verify production documentation sign-off for traceability.
• Perform SMT setup verifications and ensure correct setup parameters.
• Uphold Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
• Report quality problems to prevent recurrence and support corrective actions.
