Harbor is seeking a Research Specialist to join its Library and Research Department in a fully remote role. The position supports Harbor’s law firm clients with high-quality legal research and retrieval services, emphasizing IP matters and use of key platforms.

The ideal candidate will have IP research experience and familiarity with tools such as Lexis, Westlaw, Darts-IP, and patent databases, enabling accurate and timely results and effective client service.

Qualifikationen

• MLS or equivalent experience in legal research at a law firm, academic law library, or research center.
• 5–7 years of professional research experience in a law-related environment.
• Proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw, and other core legal research platforms.

Aufgaben

• Conduct in-depth legal and IP research using diverse information resources.
• Perform reference interviews and synthesize findings into concise reports.
• Evaluate sources for currency, reliability, relevance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain expertise across legal, business, and docket resources (Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, PACER, WK VitalLaw, Lex Machina).
• Utilize tracking software to manage tasks and document research work.
• Stay updated on developments in legal research through professional activities.
