Job summary

K&L Gates seeks a Senior Research Analyst with Intellectual Property research expertise to join its global Research & Information Team. The role delivers high-quality legal, business, and public records research, training, and consultation to lawyers and staff, with strong emphasis on prioritizing billable work and using advanced research tools.

The position supports multiple offices and can be fully remote, requiring residence in a K&L Gates operating state.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of complex research experience in fast-paced environments.
• IP research experience is preferred.
• Master’s in Library/Information Science or JD with library experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level research and consultative services across time zones via a centralized system.
• Conduct legal, business, and public records research using top resources.
• Prioritize billable workflow and meet deadlines.
• Lead research strategy and project coordination for complex queries.
• Develop awareness and alerts relevant to industry sectors and practice groups.
• Deliver training and presentations on research methods and tools.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge management.
