Job summary

Reed Smith LLP is seeking an IP Paralegal in Miami to support patent and trademark matters for domestic and international clients. You will manage filings, maintain docketing, and assist IP attorneys with due diligence and client communication.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of IP experience, familiarity with USPTO Patent Center and PCT processes, and strong organizational and research skills. A paralegal certificate or IP training is preferred; hybrid or on-site work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of intellectual property practice experience required.
• Knowledge of USPTO Patent Center and patent filing process.
• Knowledge of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) documentation and filing requirements.
• General office and administrative experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and support prosecution of trademark applications and portfolios worldwide.
• Prepare, file, and support patent applications and portfolios globally.
• Conduct trademark searches using relevant databases and tools.
• Assist with responses to USPTO actions and TTAB proceedings.
