NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company seeks a hands-on Manager, Fiber Network IP Engineering to lead a small IP Network Engineering team and drive strategy, design, and evolution of a large-scale carrier/wireline network. Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience managing Network Engineering teams
• Demonstrated experience managing 3+ IP Network Engineers
• Hands-on carrier/service-provider network engineer, principal engineer, or network architect
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, including route policy, communities, route reflectors, transit, customer routing, troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of MPLS, including LDP, RSVP-TE and/or Segment Routing concepts, L2/L3 VPNs, traffic engineering
• Strong operational and design experience with IS-IS and OSPF in large-scale routed networks

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 3 IP Network Engineers, including recruiting, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and employee development
• Remain hands-on technically while providing engineering direction, architecture guidance, and technical oversight
• Create and manage Network Engineering projects, including system upgrades, migrations, technology implementations, and planned network outages
• Manage weekly network capacity reporting, analytics, and resource planning
• Develop network strategies focused on scalability, resiliency, redundancy, convergence, QoS, and operational supportability
• Evaluate and test new network technologies and provide recommendations to senior leadership
• Support current and future IP/optical network designs
• Lead network modernization, backbone expansion, migration, and IP/optical convergence initiatives
• Provide first-line escalation for complex Network Engineering and on-call issues
• Review and approve network changes while evaluating downstream impact and operational risk
• Develop and maintain MOPs, implementation plans, test plans, network documentation, and change-management procedures
• Manage lab testing projects and supporting technical documentation
• Coordinate daily engineering assignments, workload, reports, and analytics
• Develop budgets and cost-benefit analyses for network engineering projects
• Identify potential technical and operational risks and escalations
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution
