Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8–12+ years in ISP or service provider network engineering environments.
• Experience operating carrier‑grade routing infrastructure and high‑availability IP backbones.
• Certs such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve carrier‑grade core and aggregation IP network architecture.
• Implement and manage routing infrastructure with Cisco and Nokia routers.
• Engineer and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and IS‑IS routing protocols.
• Create highly resilient topologies with redundancy and traffic engineering.
• Develop network automation using Python, Ansible, Netconf, and APIs.
• Monitor backbone performance and perform deep root‑cause analysis.
• Optimize traffic engineering policies for bandwidth and reliability.
• Support backbone connectivity with transit providers, IXPs, and peers.
• Maintain network documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide Tier‑IV escalation support and participate in on‑call rotations.
