Job summary

Frontier Communications is seeking an elite Network Architect Engineer to design and deploy advanced IP technologies. You will research and implement routing, Ethernet, MPLS, and QoS across multiple vendors, while aligning technical decisions with business goals.

The role requires deep expertise, active certifications or proven equivalents, and the ability to manage several complex projects with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in IP networking, routing protocols required.
• Active CCIE (SP or Enterprise), JNCIE-SP, or Nokia SRA, or proven equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS (LDP/RSVP), VRRP/HSRP/GLBP, PIM/IGMP, QoS, HTTP, SSL, VOIP.
• Strong technical and analytical skills for planning, design and implementation of complex service provider architectures.
• Ability to communicate complex topics across organizations and levels.

Responsibilities

• Supporting configuration, implementation, administration and efficiency of Frontier IP, Access and Video Networks.
• Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Creating procedures for configuring, testing or modifying network elements and architectures.
• Developing documentation for testing, troubleshooting or administrating network devices.
• Developing test plans for evaluating new technologies or features.
• Collaborating with Network Operations to support long-running projects.
